Eat Indigenous

Cannot say enough about the friendly people of Arkansas, Missouri and Iowa. We had the chance to eat at more nationally known established eateries for matter of convenience but picked the local joints instead. Going the few extra blocks to the downtown paid off big with good food, good cheer, and great people. We greatly appreciated Tammy's high level of service and interest in our ride as we grabbed lunch at the Red Barn BBQ in downtown Salem, Mo. ( She gave us advice about local roads, provided great service, and was appreciative of the business. Same case with our stop in the Trojan Inn Cafe in Toledo, Iowa. We were a rag tag bunch when we pulled into town and were welcomed just like regular customers. I've said this all along: always eat indigenous and support local economy no matter where you are in the world.
