The bird's eye view of riding somewhere in the Ozarks..... A short film by Sir Robert.

Eat Indigenous

Cannot say enough about the friendly people of Arkansas, Missouri and Iowa. We had the chance to eat at more nationally known established eateries for matter of convenience but picked the local joints instead. Going the few extra blocks to the downtown paid off big with good food, good cheer, and great people. We greatly appreciated Tammy's high level of service and interest in our ride as we grabbed lunch at the Red Barn BBQ in downtown Salem, Mo. (https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Red-Barn-BBQ/237555802930707). She gave us advice about local roads, provided great service, and was appreciative of the business. Same case with our stop in the Trojan Inn Cafe in Toledo, Iowa. We were a rag tag bunch when we pulled into town and were welcomed just like regular customers. I've said this all along: always eat indigenous and support local economy no matter where you are in the world.

It is almost time to saddle up and go

Walt Ride 2014 departs tomorrow at 8 AM. Meet at the Caribou parking lot, come earlier if you want coffee, but kick stands up at 8 AM. Have your tank full and be ready to roll. We gotta get to Missouri by sun down, buster. There is no messin' around, cowboy. And don't forget the kick off party tonight at the fabulous Little Timmy's VooDoo Lounge, home of the world famous bottomless cocktail. This will be an awesome ride. See you suckers in Arkansas.

You are invited to the World Famous Little Timmy's Voodoo Lounge on June 19 to finalize The Walt Ride agenda and routes. Light consumption (Bill?) of beverages will also be conducted. Please attend, even if you are unable to go on the ride, because we love you anyway. BYOB, 'cause I don't love any of you that much.

Back by popular demand....

We now have limited edition Walt Ride 10th anniversary t-shirts. And if you didn't get in on the order, too bad, sucka. Not quite hi viz, but pretty damn close. And it is a very "happy" yellow, too. Perfect for the mutant who rides.
back view. duh.

Need something to do before the Walt Ride?

Next weekend is the Antique Motorcycle Club of America's annual show at the St. Paul Fairgrounds. Hosted by the Viking Chapter of Minnesota, this is a pretty cool show, and it's cheap to get in. Lots of bikes of every vintage and make, it's worth the trip.
