Pre-Walt Ride 2011 Party or....

the Thank God It's Finally Summer/My Dad is Coming to Visit Bash. On the books for June 11th at Bill's house. The mayhem starts at 7 p.m. You know the drill: show up; bring beer or your favorite beverage. There will be snacky things to eat; things to burn (plastics are very colorful), and if you're really lucky, you'll get to pass out in the neighbor's lawn. Gee, Beav, it'll be a swell time.

Good stuff on tap for the summer here in Minne-sota. Yeah, don't ya know

Here at the ol' Ironworks Club house, we pride ourselves for being pert near smack dab in the middle of some great motor-sickle culture. Here are a few things to note on the summer schedule: and in no particular order, of course.

Official Agenda of Walt Ride 2011...

as approved by unanimous vote by the Red Wing Ironworks Motorbike Club board of directors and all proxies. The following is thus decreed: 1) Walt Ride 2011 will be the following dates: June 16, 17, 18, 19. 2) Schedule of events: June 16 - depart Red Wing for Richland Center, Wis. We shall thus meet at noon at the Smokey Row Cafe in Red Wing for obligatory coffee, and super breakfast burritos. From there, we shall take twisty non-direct route to Richland Center. June 17 - Ride twisty roads in the region of Richland Center. June 18 - Ride to the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa. http://www.nationalmcmuseum.org/ June 19 - Ride home, albeit the most non-direct super-twisty way as humanly possible. 3) We shall camp at the Alana Springs Campground near New Richland. At this time, five campsites have been reserved for our group. The campground allows 2 tents per campsite. Cost is $18.00 for the first tent and $5 for the additional tent. So, that's 23 bucks a night for two tents per site, which translates to $11.50 a tent/per person. And if you desire to have 5 people jammed in your tent, it gets cheaper from there. You do the math. Or if you are a person who needs your "space", then get your own damn site all by yourself then. I've been in contact with the owners who are nice and they welcome motorcycles and seem pleased that we are coming.http://www.alanaspringscampground.com/ The ride is on.....

Last Motorcycle Movie Night.... Yep, sad, but true

And it's at Bill's, who will asemble his world famous hot shrimp pizza for the event. A good movie is on hand, and several schmaltzy ones are also cued up in Netflix. (Groan). But hey, Tim said he is gonna show up in one of these (pictured above) as there has been a lot of talk about that lately. Dear Lord, did I really just publish that picture? Someone, poke my eyes out with a stick.
