The man wrote the bible on long distance riding with "Going the Distance" and a great account about the legendary Iron Butt Rally with "Against the Wind ""Against the Clock. Read 'em all to learn what it really takes to do some Iron Butt riding. This guy is a rider's rider and we pay tribute.

Only means one thing; the 103rd annual Red Wing Ironworks Motorbike Club Octoberfest/Big Burn party is on the books. Pay attention you slobs, and get out yer calendars: the mayhem starts at 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 at Bill's. There will be Rush River kegs o'beer again (oh yeah), food, lots of smart talk and lies, and of course, the traditional oversized moto art to ignite in a rather small fire pit (how exciting and dangerous all at once.) Be there or spend the rest of your crappy winter moping about what a great freaking party you missed. Boohoo, suckers.
