One of the first motorcycle guys I met after moving to Red Wing years ago taught me this simple rule of thumb about motorcycle repair (and, really, about any repair in general): "If it's not working right, always look for the simple problem first before you tear it apart." And, in so many respects over the years, it's turned out to be a true adage. Our good friend Bill Eichenlaub passed away last week. Bill loved riding, wrenching and talking bikes. If there was a question, Bill usually had the answer or could quickly figure it out. Your friendship will be missed. No worries here, Bill; we'll see you down the road.
