Be at the Caribou Coffee, Red Wing at 0730 on June 11th. Be gassed and ready to go. Kickstands up at 0830.

Light camp gear will be needed. Don't bring the kitchen sink; tent and sleeping bag will do. Will be setting up at Tim's sister's house upon arrival in Scottsbluff. Expect a night at the state park in Niobrara on the way out. Tim said it has actual toilets and fetid water for your bathing needs. Cheap hotel could be possible in Sioux City on the return to RW.

Christian will lead the overnight foray into Colorado. He has a route. It's a twisty mutha.

Tim promises a wild night of debauchery in East Scottsbluff; it's where all the Amish bars are located. Dress appropriately; please, no buttons.

Bring booze. It's the Walt Ride afterall.

Official Walt Ride 2016 Countdown clock.

Please don't watch this for the next 19 days.

The scientific data just keeps-a-rolling in....

Even more evidence that motorcycle riding is good for you. According to Professor Fitbit, our ride yesterday from Red Wing to Minneapolis for the Ton-Up Spring Social was the equivalent of 17,078 steps; a climb of 140 floors and 3886 calories burned. Of course the 140 floor climb was attributed to the 10,968 foot-deep potholes we hit with our bikes; and the calories were offset by six bacon flights, a bag of pork rinds, 14 beers and three martinis that were consumed at the brew pub down the street. Where the 17,000-plus steps came in, I have no idea.

Camera phone photos. Couldn't really see the phone screen in the broad daylight, so most were a crap shoot. (Crap shoot, get it? Yeah buddy.)  Oh well. A swell time was had by all.

Bikes. Why, of course.

Tim found this in his drink.

Hear ye, hear ye... rant o' the day.

Learn to spell before you post motorsickle stuff on Craigslist; it's "brakes"; not "breaks." If you want to indicate to a prospective buyer that your motorsickle will actually stop, then you need to say "the brakes work dandy" or something to that effect. If  you put the word "breaks" in the ad, then prospective buyers will think that your shit is all busted up and broken. Get it? You can now return to your normal duties.

Well, here's an idea....

The Minneapolis Ton-Up Club's annual Rockers Spring Social is May 21 from 1-6 p.m at Club Jager (923 Washington Ave. N.) An agenda could materialize as follows:

11 AM - coffee at Caribou
12 PM - depart RW
1 PM -arrive to show.
?? - depart show.

On the ride back we could stop by Dayblock for a beer/food, and I might suggest a return trip home through River Falls for a stop at Rush River Brewing to celebrate the first anniversary of the tap room opening and the release of its new Kirsche Berlinger Weiss summer seasonal beer. Yes, this sounds like a very good way to spend your Saturday.
