Adventure Ride Sunday

We were glad that members of the Twin Cities Adventure Riders group met in Red Wing this AM for the send-off for today's ride. Man o' man, what a great day for gravel road riding; weather perfect and about 20 bikes made it. A few pics to examine; more may follow later. Enjoy.

Next Weekend Event Calendar

North Shore Shindig. Yep it's a good one to hit and it starts next Thursday. Details on the link below. We've been going for the past three years and never miss this it. Go north, hit the woods via dual sport/adventure bike and you are guaranteed a swell time.

What To Do This Weekend?

1) Hill climbing at the Indianhead Motorcycle Club's headquarters in Red Wing this weekend. Sorry, don't have a lot of details as the club's own event posting on Facebook is a little jacked-up and does not offer a lot of specifics. But apparently the climb is happening. And, yes, this event takes place behind the Red Wing Athletic Field. No idea what the club will charge for entry because none was posted. Uncle Fred, the official communication director,  may need a new job at the clubhouse, perhaps making hot dogs. Who knows.

2) Twin Cities Adventure Riders: a Sunday ride is planned and the scheduled meeting time is 10 AM at the Red Wing Caribou Coffee. This ride will cover Lake City, Wabasha, Kellogg,Weaver and the Trout Valley area. Like adventure riding on the gravel back roads of South East Minnesota? If so, show up, drink coffee and be ready to ride. Don't show up on your Cruiser-Glide 9000. Very bad idea.

Little Timmy and a very swell BMW from 1976 that he recently purchased. Runs fine, and with new tires.

Can't drink no beer though the coffee mug disagrees.
Someday when the brain gets better, there shall be a cold one.

This wallet belonged to my grandfather, who, if still alive, would be 117 years old.
 He did a little bit of riding back in the day, like the early 1920s.
Man, I wish I knew all the details to those old stories.
